Jessica Austin is absolutely amazing! I met her and instantly loved her. She is sincerely understanding and compassionate, and hugely involved in the doula and midwifery worlds. She in an activist for women’s birthing rights, trains new doulas through the Wise Woman Way of Birth program, and is full of amazing tools and info for birth.
Michael and I trusted her 150% w us and our babies! She was the only one who cried with and hugged us (other than our midwife Dawn) when our twins were born.
I only wanted to hold Jessica’s hand the whole time I was in labor, which was for three days. I can’t say enough to be honest!
Her price is so reasonable and standard – I would have paid 3 times the amount. She is present for you and strives to get to know you through the whole pregnancy- in my experience some doulas are only really engaged / present at birth and I personally like how our relationship built over time.
And the other person I would highly recommend is Morag Hastings. She was there as our birth photographer. Her photos are amazing and her sincere / open / honest approach to birthing babies is amazing! She has 3 children herself so she gets it that way too.
